Brick Entry & Hardscape
A front entry where brick steps, a concrete walk, and hand-set stone edging were planned as a single exterior composition.
Case study
What this project had to solve.
Entry projects fail when each element is built in isolation. Steps, walk, and edging placed by different logics leave misaligned joints, awkward level changes, and drainage that pushes water toward the house.
How the work was built
Levels, joint lines, and falls are coordinated across all three elements before construction begins. The edging is installed by hand so curves and transitions follow the same geometry as the masonry.
The result
One continuous approach to the house, with the walk, the steps, and the garden edge reading as parts of the same design.
