Brick Entry Steps
New entry steps built with brick risers, substantial stone treads, and a formed concrete landing.
Case study
What this project had to solve.
Steps are the most used element of any exterior. Riser heights that vary between steps are a trip hazard, and a landing that holds water fails faster than anything else at the entrance.
How the work was built
Rise and run are calculated for the full flight before any masonry starts, so every step is identical. The landing is formed with a slight fall so water leaves the surface.
The result
An entrance that is safe to use in the dark, proportioned to the house, and built to hold its geometry.
